OverEasy

I know, this is more like ‘sunny side up’ than over easy, but the name isn’t as good. Too happy.

If you noticed a vague similarity between this image and TrackBall (White) you get brownie points; they share some of the same algorithms. For this image I used a balanced log CLUT (color lookup table) which is unusual. I usually go with a logarithmic CLUT or maybe a ceiled linear CLUT.

When my friend the writer and raconteur James Maguire and I were studying interactive media together in the ’90s, we learned about CLUTs in our video production class. We loved that word, so vaguely nasty and yet not really.
